Week4 Lab2: E-learning

After reading the article, here's what i think:

Multi-tasking DOES give me a sense of accomplishment, but obviously after reading the article, i know that it's actually just a false sense.
I do realise that in reality, i've accomplished less than i thought. Since i switch between tasks & often neglect each task because im not solely concentrating on a single task.
Even right now while typing this, i am multi-tasking!
I know it's less efficient, less productive but i'm used to decieving myself that i actually accomplished more than i have.

I feel that learning 3D and design is very different from learning things like programming. 3D and design requires a little more thinking & creativity while designing a model of whatever we want to create.
Whereas programming requires us to know what & how the codes function so as to enable the program to work properly.

I agree that "Learning is actually a very complex operation for an individual", since it is not possible to learn from just listening to lectures or reading yet in the end, not understanding anything.
I feel that my approach to learning is obviously not the best way because i often get distracted. Distracted by Facebook, the televesion or my hamsters.
I could probably change my workstyle by concentrating on the task at hand & avoid multi-tasking.
Also i should avoid listening to very loud/upbeat music while im doing my work. And find a more quiet place to do my work.

I agree that communication is key, in order to be successful in what we do. As stated in the paragraph, even if one is talented, if he or she is unable to communicate well with others, one will find problems in their business & such.
Without good communication skills, misunderstandings are inevitable. As well causing problems between relations with others.
However, i feel that it is pretty difficult for me to communicate effectively with strangers for i do have a timid personaility. & sometimes, when i speak my mind, people find it insulting.
But i hope i will improve my communication skills as time passes.

As for work attitude, i'm actually not a studious person. I am easily distracted & i lose interest in things fast.
I think that lectureres can actually let us sink or swim on our own, because as we've often been told "It's a students duty to learn. etc" & that we should be independent in our learning as well. BUT, our lecturers should be around when we encounter problems & requires assistance.

Reflection:
In conclusion, i find that my attitude toward my studies are not exactly desireable. & i should find ways to improve the the way i learn, because learning does not solely depend on listening/reading and memorising facts. We need to actually understand what is being taught & learn from mistakes we make in our work. Although i know i should prepare for my lessons in advance, like i said, im not a studious person & it will take time for me to adapt to a new or bette workstyle.
